    If you are missing the glass, it is more than likely you are missing the black plastic backing plate this mirror attaches to.
    Confirm that the pivoting backing bracket is attached to the motor hub.
    This piece must be there and working properly for the glass to attach to.*Installation: Direct Fit OverNOTE: For electrochromic mirror fit-over replacements, the auto-dimming feature of the original mirror is eliminated,
    but its heat feature remains functional.The mirror glass is encased or bonded to the inner backing plate which is mounted inside the mirror head.
