Sika PowerClean Aid is a chemical-free melamine-foam cleaning aid for use in combination with Sika CleanGlass or other suitable Sika liquid glass cleaner.It has been designed to remove contaminants which cannot be adequately removed using liquid glass cleaners. Moreover, while strong enough to remove most types of contaminants, it is gentle enough to do so without scratching glass surfaces.

Areas of Application:
Sika® PowerClean Aid has been designed to remove contaminants on windshields in the Autoglass Replacement market. It is safe for use on both the glass and the ceramic frit. It can be used for removing release agents, silicone residue, adhesive residue and all other types of stubborn dirt.
Method of Application:
Use Sika® CleanGlass or equivalent non anti-static glass cleaner to both wet the surface of the glass and to locate contaminants such as release agents, silicone residue, etc. Use one clean Sika® PowerClean aid pad per windshield to gently scrub away the contaminants, paying particular attention to the adhesive bond line. Discard the soiled pad, and allow the surface to dry completely before undertaking the next step in glass surface preparation (i.e. application of Sika® Aktivator-PRO, or Sika® Primer-206 G+P). Before using this product in applications other than autoglass replacement, trials must be carried out to confirm compatibility.
Important Note:
Before using Sika® PowerClean Aid on sensitive surfaces (e.g. plastics, vinyl, etc.) use the Sika® PowerClean Aid on a small unobtrusive area to ensure that its use is compatible with the substrate. Consult the Sika Pre-Treatment Chart to determine if further pretreatment is required prior to applying adhesives or sealants.
